WELCOME TO CHRIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH

We would like to invite you to visit us Each Sunday morning for our Worship Service our Worship begins at 11:00 AM.
We invite you to share in our celebration of God's Word and Holy Sacrament.

Christ Episcopal Church is a mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas and part of the world wide Anglican Communion.
In this time of turmoil a people seek a place of peace to connect with God.
The noise of the world can be overwhelming at times and it becomes difficult to recognize the still small voice of God calling to you,
"You are my beloved."
And indeed you are!
For God loves you so much that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, so that you would know of His love, His mercy, and His grace.

Christ Episcopal Church was organized as a parish on May 11, 1851 and has been an active participant in the Jefferson and Marion County community ever since.
Christ Church members are active in the life of Jefferson contributing to vibrant health of our community.
We are the Episcopal witness in Marion County and we faithfully keep the flame of ministry alive.
Through both difficult and more comfortable times Christ Church has continued as the northern most missionary outpost of the Episcopal Diocese of Texas.

This we Believe

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
